Smoky Crystal Hosting Garnets Clusters

The Smoky Quartz I've featured in my crudeco, come from Fujian Province, China. Orthoclase crystals with spessartine garnet crystals growing on the surface along with some smoky quartz crystals. The garnets are all well formed, sharp and have a beautiful dark red orange color. Nearly the entire shaft is covered in the spessartine garnet, only the remaining bottom point is accepting light. The crystal has been wrapped in 20 gauge sterling silver and completed simply with 2mm tan leather cord, an adjustable slip knot and one lamp work bead. The crystal measures 1 7/8" long by 1/2" at the top shaft widest point.
