Opal Wood - Petrified Opalized Wood
One large opalized petrified wood pendant from the mountains of Southern Idaho. After slabbing the stone I married it with other like stones to tumble for six weeks. The stone has simply been tumbled naturally to a mirror shine on both sides.
The stone has been wrapped in 20 gauge sterling silver and completed simply with 2mm tan leather cord and two lamp work beads from the etsy shop of "skaramouche".
The whole piece measures 3 7/8" long by 2 1/4" wide ( at widest bottom edge). The neck length on the adjustable slip knot is 16" up to 24".
“Opal amplifies your traits and characteristics. Helps you recognize and feel the creativity within the self, providing inspiration and imagination to all situations. It furthers clean, true, spontaneous action, enhancing what you are feeling and allowing for the release of inhibitions. Strengthens the memory and instills faithfulness and loyalty in love and personal relationships. It is a stone of happy dreams and changes. The happy dreams arising from the understanding of personal higher potentials and the glad acceptance of your inherent perfection. The happy changes come from those events which allow your aspirations to surface. Awakens the psychic and mystical qualities and helps you understand the higher powers of intuition and mysticism and to use these powers to enhance personal understanding and personal experiences in the realms of the sacred.” Reference guide: Melody – Love Is In The Earth
Petrified wood is an "akasha" stone representing the fifth element and used for past life regression.
