In this listing 12 traditional recycled handmade gift boxes from the pages of a Metropolitan Museum Journal. Resource manuals and prints from my college days, these books have began to see their age, the bindings, threads and pages in disrepair from not being stored correctly.
Saving the original prints for another project, these pages all in black and white depict the color prints from the Met seminars. Each box cut and folded from a 9 1/2" square page, with complimentary hand cut page inserts. Paper from the 50's and 60's retained a linen quality that is subtle to the touch. I loved making these boxes from those recycled pages.
Measurements 3 1/2" X 3 1/2" x 1 5/8" and 4 7/8" from corner to corner. Box bottoms and tops are complimentary but do not match. Strong and durable construction. 12 boxes for the listed price, plus, three for your eco gift.
